National Pen (PPAI (PPAI 107176, Platinum) is one of several promo companies owned by Cimpress, a Dutch global technology company operating in 25 countries with a vast product range, world-class automated manufacturing capabilities and more than $1 billion in revenue.

National Pen grew from humble beginnings in 1948 when a machinist crafted early models of some of the first ballpoint pens produced in the U.S. In 1966, the current company was opened. Since 1987, National Pen has had its international headquarters in Dundalk, Ireland, and maintains operations in San Diego, Calilfornia, Mexico and France but many products are still manufactured and assembled at its factory in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
