During Cannes Lions, people photographed a 16-foot chrome-mirror Mickey Mouse above the entrance of the Hôtel Martinez. The next year, Disney asked Floatie Kings to top its previous year’s project on the same ledge: golden Mickey and Minnie inflatables holding hands.
Floatie Kings turns ambitious promotional concepts into memorable, attention-grabbing inflatables that excite people and drive more foot traffic and sales for events, trade shows, experiential marketing, launches and giveaways.
“The reaction is, ‘Wow, I never thought of that,’” says Jonas Johansson, co-CEO and co-founder. “Inflatables become another tool in distributors’ toolboxes. If you can dream it, we can inflate it.”
More Than a ‘Big Inflatable’
A towering character outside a venue. A product replica for an activation. Whether a client needs one piece for a photoshoot or thousands for a larger campaign, Floatie Kings creates custom inflatables, from tabletop sizes to 30-foot installations, for brands like Red Bull, Prada, TikTok and Toyota. These include mascots, logos, arches, tunnels, giant bottles and cans, signs, bounce houses, slides, games, art installations, seasonal inflatables and more.
These inflatables encourage interaction and photos at events, while coolers and pool floats extend the brand experience beyond the event.
For Burning Man, Floatie Kings created interactive inflatable sculptures based on street artist fnnch’s signature Honey Bears. “We thought about the experience, not just the appearance,” Johansson says. “We designed the bears as giant bop bags, so people could hit them and watch them sway.” Burning Man named the bears its best attraction, while fnnch called the installation “a triumph.”
From Sketch to Finished Inflatable
Floatie Kings works with distributors from a detailed concept to an initial sketch or idea. Within 24 hours, the team turns it into a photorealistic 3D mockup for faster client approval. “Our in-house team designs every build from scratch, at any size,” Johansson says.
Production takes just 15-40 days. “We test the inflatable to ensure it inflates, stays inflated and meets durability standards before shipping,” Johansson says.
The company provides worldwide delivery and on-site installation upon request. “We bring the crew to handle rigging, anchoring and safety checks,” Johansson says.
Built for Your Client’s Application
Floatie Kings recommends materials and construction based on where and how the inflatable will be used—and how the client wants it to look. Options include heavy-duty PVC that’s UV- and water-resistant, fire-resistant twill, TPU for pool floats, and Oxford cloth, plus metallic, mirror, holographic, blacklight, dimensional fur and other finishes for visual impact.
“We build inflatables to survive anything, including people climbing on them or prolonged sun exposure,” Johansson says. “Double-sealed seams maintain airtight construction and reinforced anchor points help inflatables hold their shape during multi-day events.”
