The Michigan Promotional Professionals Association hosted its signature end-user event, Promotions That ROAR!, on Sept. 17 at Detroit’s Ford Field, home of the Lions. The show drew about 900 attendees – a strong mix of distributors, their top clients and prospects – for a high-energy day of discovery, education and fun.
- Exhibitor booths spanned the stadium concourses, packed with thousands of the newest styles, colors and promotional trends from leading suppliers and reps.
- Guests also enjoyed unique experiences including VIP stadium tours and photo ops with Roary, the Lions’ mascot.
The event kicked off with a keynote presentation from Josh Ellis, PPAI Media’s publisher and editor-in-chief, delving into trends shaping consumer preferences for products and how to work with distributors to make effective merch a centerpiece to any campaign. The session set the tone for the day, connecting data-driven insights with the innovations on display across the floor.
Promotions That ROAR! is known as one of the largest end-user events in the industry. The 2025 show was the first for MiPPA since the retirement of former executive director and industry legend Paul Kiewiet, who retired following the show in 2024. Sydney Dych was named executive director of MiPPA in February.
