Geiger (PPAI 105182, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 9 distributor, has announced the acquisition of two German-based distributors, GF Werbemittel and Pro-promotion. As Geiger looks to continue to strengthen its presence in the European market, both of the acquired companies hope to benefit from the extended resources that the Lewiston, Maine-based firm has to offer.
“We have built strong relationships with our customers and provided them with expert support over the years,” says Annette Stoffers of Pro-promotion. “I am confident that this high level of service will continue under the Geiger brand.”
According to Doris Fischer, managing partner of GF Werbemittel, the sale of the company was not taken lightly, and Geiger has ensured that the goodwill built up with employees and customers would be maintained.
“It was especially important to me to know that my team and loyal customers would be in good hands,” says Fischer. “Our discussions were characterized by mutual trust from the very beginning, and I am delighted that we will become part of Geiger in July. Geiger’s extensive range of services will enable us to serve our customers even better in the years ahead.”
A Continued European Expansion
This move continues a strategic push by Geiger in Europe and Germany specifically. In the past two years, the American-based distributor has acquired two other German promo companies, including SOESTMEDIA in 2025.
According to Chris McKee, executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Geiger, acquisitions like these are crucial to having any actual success in foreign markets because they incorporate years of invaluable experience understanding the local markets and customer base.
“Businesses today need partners who can support them consistently across markets while still delivering the local relationships they value,” McKee says. “Both companies have earned the trust of their customers over many years, and we’re committed to building on that foundation while providing access to the broader capabilities Geiger offers around the world.”
