SanMar Corporation Completes Acquisition Of BELLA+CANVAS

BELLA+CANVAS (PPAI 304892, Silver) has completed its transition to new ownership under SanMar Corporation (PPAI 110788, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 1 supplier, a move the company says will provide additional resources to support innovation, product development, quality and customer experience. The Los Angeles-based apparel brand will continue operating as an independent brand led by executive vice president Megan Spire, who has been with the company for nearly 15 years. Company leaders emphasized that the acquisition is intended to strengthen BELLA+CANVAS’s market position while maintaining its established brand identity and creative direction.

Under the new ownership structure, customers will continue to purchase BELLA+CANVAS products through the company’s website, its network of regional distributor partners, and SanMar, which will now serve as the exclusive national wholesale distributor. Other national wholesalers will continue to offer products while existing inventory remains available. Regional distributor partners include Atlantic Coast Cotton, Carolina Made, McCreary’s Tees, Mission Imprintables, One Stop, SLC Activewear and Staton.

“The brand, the team and the creative vision that built BELLA+CANVAS remain exactly where they belong, at the center of everything we do,” said Spire. She added that the company remains focused on delivering product innovation, premium quality and design leadership. Michelle Yu, vice president of creative and design, echoed that message, saying the company’s approach to design, trend-focused product development and quality standards will remain unchanged as BELLA+CANVAS continues under SanMar ownership.

S&S Adds New Distribution Center In Vancouver

S&S Activewear (PPAI 256121, Platinum), PPAI’s No. 2 supplier, announced a major expansion of its Vancouver distribution operations, relocating to a larger facility that will more than double its footprint in the region and strengthen service capabilities across Western Canada. The move follows the recent appointment of Enrique Escalona as vice president and general manager of Canada, reflecting the company’s broader investment in Canadian leadership, customer support and infrastructure.

The new facility, located near S&S’s current Vancouver distribution center, will add 20,000 pick locations to support expanded inventory across key product categories. It will also incorporate autonomous mobile robots as part of the company’s automation strategy to improve operational efficiency, order accuracy and fulfillment speed. The site is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2026, with S&S investing an estimated $50 million in inventory at the location.

“This expansion represents a significant investment in our Canadian business and reinforces our long-term commitment to the region,” Escalona said. S&S chief operating officer Josh Clark added that the expansion will help create a more scalable and efficient distribution network while improving product availability and fulfillment capabilities for customers across Canada. Grosvenor Property Canada, the development and investment partner on the project, said the move also reinforces Annacis Island’s role as a key industrial hub in the region.

Brikl And Taylor OnDemand Team Up With Business Cards

Brikl (PPAI 803362), a commerce platform for distributors of custom apparel and decorated products, has launched on-demand business cards through a partnership with Taylor OnDemand. The new offering allows distributors to add fully customizable business cards with tiered pricing to Brikl-powered online stores, expanding the platform’s recently introduced On Demand Personalization feature.

The business card solution is designed for business-to-business programs, enabling organizations to order personalized, brand-compliant cards for employees, sales teams, franchise locations and other large-scale groups. According to Brikl, the platform integrates business card ordering into the same ecommerce storefront used for other promotional products, with real-time previews, configurable design controls, quantity-based pricing and direct routing to production.

“Distributors have been managing business card programs as a separate, manual exercise for as long as the channel has existed,” says Jaimee Wolcott, vice president of Taylor OnDemand. “This partnership changes that.” Brikl founder and CEO Maarten Boone said the launch allows distributors to offer personalized business cards alongside apparel and hard goods in a single online store, reducing the need for manual artwork and order coordination.

Logomark Promotes Industry Veteran To Southern California Regional Sales Manager

Logomark (PPAI 110898, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 16 supplier, has promoted Tommy Lee to regional sales manager for Southern California, a move the company says supports its continued focus on distributor success and customer support in a key promotional products market. In his new role, Lee will work with distributor partners across Southern California, helping them identify business opportunities and leverage Logomark’s product portfolio, brands, and services.

Lee joined Logomark in 2006 in a sales support position and later advanced through a series of roles, including inside sales, national accounts sales representative and strategic sales representative. His nearly two decades with the company have allowed him to develop extensive industry knowledge and build long-standing relationships with customers and distributor partners.

“As I approach my 20th anniversary with Logomark, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow within the company,” said Lee. “My focus is simple: be a trusted resource for our distributor partners, help them uncover new opportunities and demonstrate why Logomark is a supplier they can confidently rely on.” Sasha Pirrie, vice president of sales, said the promotion reflects Lee’s long-term commitment to customers and partners.
