Former U.S. Navy SEAL, ultramarathoner and triathlete David Goggins will open The PPAI Expo 2019 by delivering the General Session presentation on Tuesday, January 15. He will give his audience a crash course in personal accountability and how to go beyond motivation to achieve their personal best.
Goggins is the only member of the U.S. military to complete SEALs training, the U.S. Army Ranger School and the U.S. Air Force’s Tactical Air Controller training. However, early in life, all the odds were stacked against him. He grew up in an abusive household, barely graduated from high school and struggled with serious health issues.
After several friends died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan in 2005, he took up long-distance running to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides grants and college scholarships to the children of special operations soldiers killed in the line of duty.
The PPAI Expo 2019 runs January 13-17 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. For more information on the Expo and to be notified when registration opens, click here.
