The PPAI Expo 2022 is only a few weeks away. Coming January 10-13, the promotional products industry’s largest and longest-running trade show is set to deliver an expansive, insightful and productive experience for attendees. And through its Healthpitality focus, PPAI has taken a dynamic, proactive approach to ensure a safe and healthy show experience.
PPAI’s Healthpitality commitment to The PPAI Expo is an ongoing, multifaceted process. Onsite policies, such as face masks—PPAI will offer three-ply, reusable, official show masks sponsored by AZX to all in attendance as well as surgical masks—will follow local ordinances and CDC recommendations. Stay up to date with the latest local ordinances here.
The PPAI Expo also has the advantage of being held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which has achieved a Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) Star Facility accreditation, the gold standard for prepared and safe facilities, and the entire Mandalay Bay resort, including the exhibit halls, is equipped with an extremely efficient ventilation system that provides 12 full-air exchanges per hour and is equivalent to the standard found in hospitals and other medical venues.
Additionally, in-room COVID testing is now available at MGM properties during The PPAI Expo. MGM Resorts is partnering with Community Ambulance to deliver In-Room COVID-19 Testing for registered hotel guests staying at MGM Resorts destinations in Las Vegas. Samples will be collected in guest rooms by a medical professional and test results will be delivered electronically. An appointment for in-room testing is required, and tests are available 8 am to 8 pm. Testing is also available at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, on Level 1, at Bayside Hall A. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is needed. Pricing and walk-in testing hours are available here.
Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the convention center including the exhibit hall. In addition, Raining Rose is sponsoring an individual vial of hand sanitizer that will be clipped to the official show bags and available in other locations. Physical distancing and greeting preference lapel pins will also be available, in green (handshakes), yellow (elbows only) and red (please distance), for attendees to indicate their personal preferences to others.
PPAI has also compiled best practices for show exhibitors, based on recommendations from the broader trade-show industry. These include open booth designs to allow for physical distancing preferences, sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly throughout the day, the implementation of touchless alternatives for engagement, providing hand sanitizer in exhibit booths and incorporating signage that promotes health and safety best practices.
