Tampa-based distributor Proforma (PPAI 196835, Platinum) has announced the hiring of Tim Nale to take on the role of chief brand officer.
- Nale, a co-founder of PromoStandards who has held leading technology roles at multiple companies, will use that experience to bring tech-centered initiatives to Proforma, which received high marks in Innovation in PPAI 100 in each of its first two years. Proforma ranked as the industry’s No. 3 leading distributor in 2024.
“Proforma has always been a well-respected leader in the industry,” says Nales. “When presented the opportunity to use my expertise in a new and unique way, I was thrilled. I couldn’t be more excited to begin working with this team. There are incredible things to come.”
Nale comes to the distributor from LeadingResponse, a Tampa-based data company, where he served as chief technology officer and executive vice president of technology and operations.
- Prior to that, he was the chief information officer at Koozie Group.
- Nale also spent a combined eight years working at Boar’s Head and Michelin.
An Architect of Technology
Nale will work in collaboration with Charity Gibson, Proforma’s chief marketing officer, to strategize and “architect” new marketing possibilities that can be unlocked through emerging technology.
“When a recent survey of our distributor owners uncovered some key growth opportunities, leadership immediately went to work looking for ways to further enhance our best-in-industry service offering,” says Gibson. “Tim’s work will be instrumental in deploying what is sure to be a revolutionary advancement in the way our Distributor Owners go to market.”
Proforma’s chief technology officer, Michael Dobozy, hints at plans that will come to fruition under Nale’s guidance.
“Tim comes to Proforma with a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing technology,” says Dobozy. “We have launched a major initiative that will be underway very soon, and Tim’s expertise will be paramount in seeing it through to completion.”
