HALO (PPAI 106463, Platinum) has announced the acquisition of Wisconsin-based distributor Star Promotions (190048, Silver), adding a significant resource to its network.
- HALO was named the No. 2 distributor in the inaugural PPAI 100 rankings.
- Last year, HALO made history by becoming the first industry distributor to cross the $1 billion annual sales mark (for 2022).
“Star Promotions has established and built its success by delivering top-notch service to an impressive array of clients and brand,” says Jim Stutz, EVP of sales, marketing and business development at HALO. “Dave Wolter and Mark Hesselman, along with their team, have demonstrated strong creativity and innovation. We are delighted to welcome them to the HALO family.”
The Future of Star Promotions
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but HALO has stated that Star Promotions will retain its staff going forward.
- A branding change will take place immediately, however, as the distributor will operate under the title Star Promotions Powered by HALO.
In a joint statement, Star Promotions co-owners Dave Wolter and Mark Hesselman expressed their excitement to have agreed upon a deal allowing the company to take its next step into the future.
“We are thrilled to join HALO and leverage the expanded resources available to us,” the statement reads. “The comprehensive range of solutions, including marketing and creative capabilities, technology resources and fulfillment expertise, is unparalleled.”
Wolter and Hesselman suggest that the acquisition will ultimately benefit Star Promotions’ clients and partners.
“We are confident that this partnership will enable us to significantly enhance the value we offer our clients and accelerate our growth.”
