The PPAI Pyramid Awards recognize the outstanding, creative use of promotional products in client programs and campaigns of distributors and regional associations across 15 different categories. Distributor Pure Logo, Inc. was a 2015 Gold Pyramid winner in the Political/Legislative Programs category for its work with energy company Sunoco, Inc.
The Political/Legislative Programs category recognizes campaigns that stimulate awareness, participation or donations related to elections, awareness campaigns, petitioning, political action committees or lobbying activities at the local, state and federal levels. Puro Logo took home the Gold Pyramid Award for the program it developed with Sunoco to encourage employees to contribute to the Energy Transfer political action committee. Energy Transfer is the parent company of Sunoco.
Previously, a single gift valued at $5—pens, stress balls and similar items carrying the Sunoco logo or an American flag—was offered for all contributions no matter the size of the contribution. For 2013, the company worked with Port Deposit, Maryland-based Pure Logo to develop a program that offered more desirable gifts at different program levels. At lower levels, contributors received gifts valued at $15 featuring a newly designed Energy Transfer PAC logo in red, white and blue—either a Leed’s Roadster Gift Set with a flashlight, tire gauge and pen in a case, or the White Hampton To Go Gift Set, containing two ceramic mugs and a thermos from Glass America. The top contribution level, “The Chairman’s Club,” received a custom pewter coaster set valued at $115 from Indiana Metal Craft.
Ultimately, the campaign spurred a 263-percent increase in contributions, more than tripling the PAC’s size from 2012.
Industry professionals, companies and regional associations who take home the Pyramid Award’s coveted trophy bring home not only the recognition and appreciation of their peers, but also a unique calling card in the competitive promotional products marketplace. Their creativity and ingenuity is honored each year at an awards presentation and reception held during The PPAI Expo.
Award entries are judged by a panel of outside experts and members of the Awards & Recognition Action Group. Judges look for organized planning of the concept, effective execution, the appropriate and creative application of promotional products and messaging, and solid results. Entries are accepted through July 31.
