SanMar (PPAI 110788, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 1 supplier, has announced the creation of a new chief operating officer role and the appointment of Pat Noonan to the position.

A 19-year veteran of the Issaquah, Washington-based company, Noonan has served as chief product officer since 2017. His influence has shaped successful brand launches with Mercer+Mettle, as well as retail giants Richardson, Carhartt, Brooks Brothers and MiiR, according to the firm.

In his new role, Noonan will continue to lead the product organization and will now also oversee information technology, distribution and enterprise resource planning.

Nooan began his career at SanMar as a distribution process manager, later serving as vice president of distribution and enterprise architecture before being named chief product officer.

The new role reflects the scale of SanMar’s ongoing investment in its infrastructure, according to the company. Over the past several years, the branded merchandise juggernaut has grown its product catalog and brand portfolio to more than 30 brands, announced expansion plans for automated distribution and accelerated investment in its technology platforms.
