Spacecraft Product Lab Expands With West Coast Manufacturing And Decorating Facility

Spacecraft Product Lab (PPAI 793148, Standard Base) has expanded its U.S. manufacturing operations through the acquisition of a domestic manufacturing and decoration facility in Los Angeles. The move increases the company’s production capacity and reflects growing demand for shorter lead times, supply chain flexibility and domestic manufacturing options within the promotional products and branded merchandise industries.

The expanded facility adds in-house capabilities including embroidery, screen printing, fulfillment, warehousing, kitting and quality control. The company said the investment also strengthens its USA-made apparel programs, which include custom cut-and-sew manufacturing, garment dyeing and specialty finishing services, while providing customers with additional production options through a combination of domestic manufacturing and global sourcing.

“Today’s brands need more than a supplier – they need a manufacturing partner that can respond quickly, solve complex production challenges, and scale with their business,” says Matthew Garbauskas, founder of Spacecraft Product Lab. “Our continued investment in domestic production allows us to bring more capabilities together under one roof while maintaining the creativity, craftsmanship and customer service that have always defined our company.”

Hit Promotional Products Adds 100% Recycled BYBBA Products

Hit Promotional Products (PPAI 113910, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 3 supplier, has added BYBBA to its product lineup, introducing the brand’s collection of bags made from ocean-bound plastic. BYBBA’s bags are manufactured from Techniluxe, a fabric made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic recovered from oceans, rivers and coastlines. Through the brand’s partnership with 4ocean, the sale of each bag supports the removal of one pound of plastic waste from waterways. The initial launch includes three bag styles, all featuring recycled construction and a soft matte finish.

According to Hit, the addition of BYBBA reflects growing demand for sustainable promotional products, particularly in the reusable bag category. “Buyers aren’t just asking for a tote anymore — they want a product with a story they can stand behind,” says Krista Ward, vice president of marketing at Hit. “BYBBA gives our distributors something that looks and feels premium while backing it up with a supply chain that’s genuinely doing good.”

Crystal D Co-Sponsors Well In South Sudan

Crystal D (PPAI 112326, Gold), PPAI 100’s No. 100 supplier, announced its second round of charitable donations funded through sales of Legacy Gallery awards, a collection launched in late 2023 to honor the memory of founder Chuck Dahlgren and his commitment to giving back. The collection features 10 exclusive crystal award designs, with 20% of each purchase distributed equally among four nonprofit organizations.

At the company’s recent WOW Day employee recognition event, President Jeanne Dahlgren shared updates on the impact of the donations. Recipients include the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which helps connect children with adoptive families; the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, which provides resources and support for families affected by Rett syndrome; and 4 Paws for Ability, which pairs service dogs with individuals who have complex medical needs. Donations also helped fund a well in South Sudan through Water for South Sudan.

“Generosity is one of our unspoken company values, and it is such a joy to be able to do this each year,” says Dahlgren. She added that receiving a photo of the well co-sponsored by Crystal D in the village of Pajiing served as “a tangible reminder of the importance of giving back—and the life-changing, life-saving effect of generosity.” Dahlgren said the company is grateful for the opportunity to support organizations making a difference in communities around the world.
