For more than 20 years, FOLIO magazine’s Eddie & Ozzie Awards have been the mark of achievement for magazine editorial and design across all sectors of the publishing industry. On October 10, PPB magazine was spotlighted in the highly competitive annual awards program presented during the 2018 Folio: Show in New York City.
PPB’s article, Millennial Spotlight, published in May 2017, won an Ozzie award in the category of association/nonprofit data visualization. The June 2017 feature Tipping The Scales also won an Eddie Award in the category of association/nonprofit advertorial/sponsored content. In addition, the magazine won an Ozzie honorable mention for graphic design in the association/nonprofit category for its July 2017 cover story reporting on PPAI’s sales volume study.
A panel of more than 300 judges narrowed more than 2,500 entries into a pool of roughly 800 finalists. In total, 263 awards were given out across 33 categories. Other winners included ESPN the Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, and Inc. magazine, putting PPB on par with some of the publishing industry’s heavy hitters.
