A snowstorm is forecast for the New York City area, northern New Jersey and coastal Connecticut today and is expected to drop eight to 12 inches or more of snow. Along with school closings, some promotional products companies in the region are closed today as well.
Prime Line’s (PPAI 112744) Bridgeport, Connecticut, offices are shut down for the day but the company is continuing to accept orders by email and fax, and a customer service representative is also available. Customers should call the company’s main number and then extension 3066 to be connected to a remote team.
Also closed today is the Lanco (PPAI 112333) factory in Ronkonkoma, New York. A phone recording directs customers to the company website to check order status, and it also gives a phone number to fax orders and inquiries.
Hub Pen (PPAI 110772), located in Braintree, Massachusetts, is planning to close early today and will not be running its second shift. A notice posted on Facebook says the offices will remain open as long as safety allows.
Bay State Specialty Co. (PPAI 113896) closed today at 11:30 am. A Facebook post assures customers that all orders have been shipped out on time or ahead of schedule in anticipation of the weather. Customers can check the website for order status.
Jetline (PPAI 113558) has closed its office in Connecticut but the supplier’s Gaffney, South Carolina, office is accepting orders.
A number of companies in the region remain open and operational, including Chocolate Inn/Taylor & Grant’s (PPAI 111662) factory in Freeport, New York, says President David Miller. Merrick Falkenstein, president of K & R Precision Corp. (PPAI 112266) says his factory in Cheektowaga, New York, is not experiencing any more snow than normal and is functioning on schedule. Kristina Fredericks, MAS, senior VP of sales & marketing for Moderne Glass Co., Inc. (PPAI 112536) also reports the company’s offices in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, are not affected by the storm and are fully operational.
