John Lascelles, MAS, co-owner of Florida-based distributor Corporate Attire And More, passed away on December 9 with his wife, Cheryl, by his side. He was 66. Together with Cheryl, Lascelles started CA&M in May of 1999 in Orange County, California, and had been an owner of the company for 22 years. Corporate Attire And More will continue under Cheryl’s leadership.
Lascelles’ friend and business coach, Cliff Quicksell, MAS+, says, “John was a dear friend and a solid businessman. Despite his being sick, he rarely, if ever, missed a consulting session. He was always upbeat, positive, and professional. I think about him often and miss our weekly chats, our discussions on wine, and his laughter—a true gentleman, an amazing friend, he is sorely missed.”
An active outdoorsman, prior to founding Corporate Attire And More, Lascelles owned and operated a plant and tree nursery in Lake Arrowhead, California to help restore his community after devastation from fires. He was a wine enthusiast, who owned a small vineyard in Temecula, California. An athlete most of his life, he was also a passionate St. Louis Cardinals fan and a proud alumnus of Ohio State University.
In business, Lascelles was committed to creative ways to maximize the promotional dollars of his clients. His favorite quote was, “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just a little extra.”
Lascelles is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his aunt, Priscilla, his sister, Susan, and nephews Michael and Max.
