Geiger (PPAI 105182, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 5 distributor, has announced the acquisition of Vienna, Austria-based distributor Nowak Werbeartikel.
Founded in 1970, Nowak Werbeartikel will operate as Geiger in the Austrian market under the legal entity, Geiger Promo GmbH. All 13 employees will be retained as part of the acquisition, and Thomas Derhaschnig, managing director of Nowak, will continue to lead the Austrian business.
“Following Geiger’s 2024 acquisition of WER GmbH, a long-standing partner of Nowak, I followed its development closely and engaged regularly with its leadership team,” Derhaschnig says. “It quickly became clear that Geiger shares the same values and culture that have defined our success.”
The acquisition represents an important step in Geiger’s continued global expansion, while further strengthening the Lewiston, Maine-based company’s footprint in Europe, according to David Geiger, president of Geiger.
