STRAN (PPAI 161542, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 12 distributor, has reported a 95.2% year-over-year increase in sales, reaching approximately $32.6 million for the second quarter of 2025.
- By comparison, PPAI Research’s most recent bi-monthly survey shows that promotional products industry revenue grew by 0.37% in May and June compared to the same two-month period in 2024. This is down slightly from 0.42% in March and April 2025.
In its Q2 earnings release published on Tuesday, the Quincy, Massachusetts-based firm reported that gross profit increased by more than 80%, driven by robust organic sales growth of 30.4% for the quarter ending June 30.
- STRAN, which achieved a 187% growth rate from 2021-2024, earned 2025 PPAI 100 High Marks for Growth.
For the first half of 2025, sales climbed by 72.5% to roughly $61.3 million, with gross profit rising 65.6% to approximately $18.4 million, according to the earnings report.

Financial Results For Q2
Sales by the STRAN segment (which doesn’t include the former Gander Group business) increased to approximately $21.8 million for the three months ended June 30, 2025, from approximately $16.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2024.
- Sales by the SLS segment (which consists of the former Gander Group business) reached approximately $10.8 million in Q2.
- Gross profit margin decreased to 30.3% from 32.8% in Q2 2024 primarily due to the acquisition of Gander Group, which operates at a lower gross margin than the STRAN segment.
Operating expenses increased 44.1% to approximately $9.5 million in Q2. Net income was approximately $600,000 compared to a net loss of approximately $1 million in Q2 2024.

Total Stran Sales For First Half of 2025
Sales by the STRAN segment increased to approximately $42.7 million for the first half of 2025 from approximately $35.5 million for the first half of 2024.
- Sales by the SLS segment reached approximately $18.6 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025.
Gross profit margin decreased to 30.0% for the first half of 2025 from 31.2% for the same period last year again primarily due to the acquisition of Gander Group.
Operating expenses increased 43.8% to approximately $18.5 million for the first half of 2025. Net income for the same period was approximately $300,000 compared to a net loss of approximately $1.5 million for the six months ended June 30, 2024.
