What excites you about your day-to-day work?

Our company’s great about giving me balance, as far as being a mom but also being a marketing professional. Some days I get to work with the sales team. Sometimes I’m working on the social media campaign. Sometimes I’m designing a look book. Other days, I’m volunteering at a school. So, no day is the same, but I love that this industry and our company give us the balance to do both.

What is your superpower?

I think it’s creating out of the chaos. Again, with marketing it could have multiple levels. It’s a little bit of everything. It’s design, or sometimes a salesperson might approach me with this out-of-the-box idea, and I get to tie in the brand values or tie in the vision or ask how can we really tell this story here and create something that makes sense for the client or the project.

What about the promo industry brings you joy?

I think it’s a unicorn of an industry. No one really knows about it, but it’s so magical once you’re in it, and I don’t see myself leaving it. There are growth opportunities. You’re always being challenged to try something new, to get involved, to collaborate and really just push yourself.

How can the industry attract more young leaders?

I think it’s educating that this industry exists, honestly. It’s not something that was ever on my radar. I think, industry-wide, we kind of joke that you either were born into it or you fell into it. So, I think really creating that space to educate up-and-coming college graduates that this industry is out there.
