What is your superpower?

My superpower is empathy. It allows me to be a leader who can put myself into other people’s shoes to be able to really understand how they’re feeling, what makes them tick, how to support them in becoming better at whatever it is that they’re looking to level up. But it also makes me a stronger marketer. I can put myself in the shoes of my customers or their customers and really try to drive that into the messaging so that it can be stronger and more impactful.

The counter to that question: How do you need to improve?

I could really improve on delegation after moving from being a doer, an individual contributor, to being a leader. That’s something that was very difficult for me at first, and it took a lot of practice to say, “Hey, I can’t be the one that’s doing this anymore, and I need to trust other individuals and empower them to do it on their own, and then support them, give them feedback and help them level up.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

It’s a really hard question, and I can’t say specifically what it would be or what I envision in detail. But I know that, for me, what I’m starting to realize is that I really want to do something that’s meaningful, and what’s really impactful for me is building community and helping others. Wherever the path takes me, whatever road I go down, I want to make sure that it’s something that’s helping others, helping the planet or building community.
