To better protect its brand, United Way Worldwide is launching a new communication campaign to reiterate a brand licensing policy that the organization adopted in 2013. The licensing model is intended to help ensure consistency in promoting the brand’s visual identity while strengthening United Way’s ability to effectively communicate its message.
United Way Worldwide is the leadership organization for the United Way network and the owner of United Way Brand marks.
United Way Worldwide uses a licensing model for the purchase and distribution of branded promotional products bearing its name and/or trademarks. The model helps ensure the visual consistency, message alignment and the optimal protection required by leading brands. Only vendors licensed by United Way Worldwide are permitted to produce such promotional products.
Absent of a license, vendors are not authorized to sell United Way branded products to any person or any organization, including local United Way locations. No persons or organizations other than United Way Worldwide are authorized to exempt this licensing requirement.
