Ryan Cudney, a senior vice president at Edelman’s Corporate Reputation and Risk Management practice, will be joining a panel discussion at the PPAI Product Responsibility Summit this September. Cudney will join Cheryl Falvey, co-chair of Crowell & Moring’s Advertising & Product Risk Management Group, and Carol Cave, deputy director of the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Office of Compliance and Field Operations, in a discussion on crisis management from regulatory, legal and public perception perspectives.
In his role at Edelman, Cudney counsels senior decision makers across a number of industries on the development of their corporate narrative and communications strategies, the assessment and creation of integrated issues management capabilities, and guides them through enterprise risks such as international product recalls, social media backlash, facility closures and unauthorized access of personally identifiable information. He assists clients with communications following enforcement actions by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the CPSC, Food and Drug Administration and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Before joining Edelman, Cudney served as the executive director of the Illinois Republican State Senate Campaign Committee and as a senior consultant at a Chicago-based public affairs firm.
