Boss’ Day dates back to the 1950s when State Farm employee, Patricia Bays Haroski, registered the holiday with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She chose October 16 because it was her father’s birthday, and she felt he was an exceptional boss. Today, Boss’ Day has become an international celebration, with countries like Australia, England and South Africa commemorating the occasion.

So, what makes a great boss? According to a 2022 survey from the career website Zety, employees most value honesty, a positive attitude and trustworthiness. More than 70% of respondents say they work with good bosses, with 30% saying their manager is nothing short of wonderful.

Show appreciation to all these great bosses with promotional products. We’re sharing some ideas in this issue of Promotional Consultant Today.
