PPAI’s Fellows Program recognizes influential individuals who have actively supported the industry through their personal involvement, leadership and contributions to a culture of engagement within the Association. Next week, at The PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, six PPAI Fellows are sharing what they’ve learned during their time in the industry in “Fresh Insights With PPAI Fellows,” an interactive session held on January 14 in one of the Expo’s show floor professional development domes.

Drew Davis, MAS, president of Denver, Colorado, distributor Specialty Incentives, Inc., kicks off the line-up with “Managing Change In Your Business And Associated Expectations.” Davis, a 20-year industry professional, will share change management best practices, including the importance of preparation and managing what you can control.

Jo-an Lantz, MAS, president and CEO of Lewiston, Maine, distributor Geiger, will help attendees in “Gaining C-Suite Skills.” Her session delivers valuable tips on finding a place in the c-suite, such as accepting critical feedback as a gift and understanding the difference between leadership and education.

“Digital Marketing: Why Digital Marketing Makes Sense For Your Business,” the session presented by D. Alan Christopher, MAS, Ph. D, president of Austin, Texas-based multi-line rep firm DAC Marketing, explores the differences between digital and social media, the major platforms available, and content and connection, among other topics.

Kate Plummer, MAS, sales manager at Scarborough, Ontario-based supplier Clearmount Plastics Limited, will deliver a session on time management. “Time Management Best Practices” will arm attendees with skills and tips on how to say “no,” and how to prioritize.

Charles Duggan II, MAS+, responsible for national and strategic accounts at San Diego, California, supplier Goldstar, will deliver a session on “Professional Development Planning.” A 27-year industry veteran and active volunteer, his presentation in the dome will examine setting and identifying goals, planning and execution, and more.

Daryll Griffin, MAS, president and CEO of Norcross, Georgia, distributor Accolades, Inc., will wrap up the series with “David & Goliath: Slaying the Giant – Small Distributor, Big Client!” An active volunteer and recipient of PPAI’s Humanitarian and Woman of Achievement awards, Griffin’s presentation will share five strategies to compete for, land and manage major accounts.

“Fresh Insights With PPAI Fellows” will be held Tuesday, January 14, 3 – 4:30 pm, in professional development dome No. 1 on the Expo show floor. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and attendees will receive 1.5 CAS credits. There’s still time to register for The PPAI Expo.
