PPAI has announced the cancellation of its 2020 Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC), which was to be held June 22-24 in Charlotte, North Carolina. WLC is one of the most highly-attended and strongly-supported programs among PPAI’s annual events. However, given the current situation and following discussions with past attendees and the WLC workgroup, the Association decided to cancel this year’s event.
“I am thankful for the understanding and guidance of this dedicated group of women leaders and attendees who have made this annual gathering one focused on growth, community and empowerment,” says PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE. “And as we look to reinvent this program for the future, I know they will be around with the same enthusiasm.”
PPAI has reached out to those already registered for the conference to inform them of the cancellation. Despite not hosting the event this year, PPAI is planning WLC-sponsored webinars throughout the remainder of the year that will feature content specifically for women in the industry. There will also be a WLC social during The PPAI Expo in January.
PPAI plans to host its next WLC in 2021. It is still working on the logistics for this event and will communicate them later this year. For questions, contact PPAI Manager of Diversity and Learning Engagement Julie Kwan at JulieK@ppai.org.
