The 2016 PPAI Product Responsibility Summit is bringing back Neal Cohen, a product safety attorney and former small business ombudsman for the Consumer Product Safety Commission, to speak at the Summit’s closing session. Cohen, who has spoken at Summit and The PPAI Expo, will wrap up the program by providing guidance on how to stay on the right side of compliance even if you don’t have a team of compliance professionals.
Cohen currently works with manufacturers and importers to guide them in all aspects of product safety including import detentions, government investigations, product recalls, mandatory government reporting, product warnings and instructions, and product risk assessments. Prior to joining the CPSC, he was a courtroom attorney in New York City and practiced corporate law at King & Spalding LLC.
Product responsibility guidelines are always changing and the industry must be able to quickly adapt to an evolving marketplace. The 2016 Summit, to be held September 18-20 in National Harbor, Maryland, brings together the experts and expertise to highlight the importance of product responsibility in today’s economy and how it can differentiate businesses from their competition and keep them on the right side of the law.
The 2016 PPAI Product Responsibility Summit includes two days of education featuring distinguished speakers, industry thought leaders and representatives from product safety labs and product certification groups. All Summit attendees will also receive a binder containing best practices, protocols and resource materials based on the five pillars of compliance. Seating is limited and fills up quickly, so register today to secure a spot.
