Regional associations representing the Southeast are coming together to host a daylong training event on August 9 in Birmingham, Alabama. “Promotional Products 101” is designed for those new to the promotional products industry who work in sales, account services, support, accounts payable, graphic design or some other role.
District 2 includes Puerto Rico and the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and is represented by the Caribbean Advertising Specialties Association (CASA), the Carolinas Association of Advertising and Marketing Professionals (CAAMP), the Georgia Association of Promotional Products Professionals (GAPPP), the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA), the Promotional Products Association of Florida (PPAF), the Promotional Products Association of the Mid-South (PPAMS) and the Sunbelt Promotional Products Association (SPPA).
“We want attendees to leave with a general knowledge of our industry and a 50,000-foot view of how it works,” says Loren Richardson with alphabroder, vice president of SPPA and one of the speakers.
Promotional Products 101 is approved for 4.25 CAS credits and will include an industry overview, introductions to apparel and hard goods, networking lunch, distributor tips and a panel discussion. All attendees who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion.
