First introduced in 1958, it recognizes promotional products businesses and helps shine the spotlight on the collaborative business model unique to the industry. PPB Newslink is highlighting some of the winners among the 2020 Pyramid Award’s extensive Client and Marketing Program categories.
Distributor Hillary’s in Hopkins, Minnesota, has received a Gold Award in the Business-to-Business category for a campaign helping its client, the Minneapolis Local Organizing Committee (MLOC), welcome National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) VIPs of the 2019 Final Four and thank sponsors. It created an unforgettable impression among the Final Four’s high-profile visitors and of the City of Minneapolis.
Following guidelines set by the NCAA and MLOC, a three-person team developed a VIP plan with a distinct Minneapolis theme. Hillary’s vetted diverse product suppliers and built an execution timeline that included communication and a hand-off strategy for delivering five days of room drops totaling 486 gifts to 342 people. Each room drop was designed to optimize product usage over 10 different gifting groups with custom-printed inserts.
The campaign was recognized for authentically highlighting Minneapolis and its culture, and incorporating unique, distinctive products, while impressing NCAA VIPS of the 2019 Final Four and thanking sponsors by creating an unforgettable impression.
