Reciprocity Road, an alliance of 10 distributors located across the U.S. and Canada comprising approximately $230 million in promotional products spending, has named Oklahoma City’s Urban Bridge as the recipient of its 2021 first-quarter grant. The organization was nominated by Eric Granata, CAS, vice president of business development at distributor ROBYN, a member of Reciprocity Road.
Urban Bridge empowers under‐represented communities by building bridges of hope to health, wholeness and more significant economic opportunities. Urban Bridge’s Impact Center, located in East Oklahoma City, strives to create environments that positively impact youth, families and neighborhoods in traditionally under‐represented communities through mentoring, tutoring, college and career preparation, financial literacy, the arts and community partnerships.
In addition to meeting basic life needs, Urban Bridge offers both on-site and off‐site programs structured to create formative, holistic development opportunities for youth and young adults.
“This generous donation will be used to further renovations and to expand programming at the Bridge Impact Center,” says Marcus Jackson, executive director of Urban Outreach.
Granata adds, “Urban Bridge’s approach to economic freedom through entrepreneurial opportunities strikes a chord with me. Watching someone hustle, whether it’s releasing a record, starting an apparel line or providing a service, is a magical thing to witness. I’ve known the leadership at Urban Bridge for almost 25 years and have always admired their vision and drive. I’m stoked to see what they do next.”
