Next week, in Alexandria, Virginia, PPAI’s Product Responsibility Summit includes a panel discussion that brings together end buyers to discuss what they expect when sourcing promotional products. Among the panelists representing diverse industries is Cathy Choffin, part of the global safety and security department at McDonald’s Corporation, whose focus is on safety in the company’s consumer products and restaurants, including employees and customers, packaging, seating and décor and PlayPlace areas. She is also responsible for standards development and emergency response preparation coordination.
In her role at McDonald’s Corporation, Choffin is responsible for assessing safety risks from a global and U.S. perspective, developing strategies and safety standards, and communicating best practices designed to protect people, customers and the McDonald’s brand. She strongly believes in the need for collaboration, sharing best practices and getting to a better “yes.”
The moderated panel discussion will be held on Monday, September 16 from 1:15-2:15 pm and includes an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. Seats are still available at Summit, which runs September 15-17, and includes a CPSC lab tour. Register at ppai.org/summit.
