PPAI is joining the Northwest Promotional Marketing Association (NWPMA) and its members this week to bring Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.) to the Pacific Northwest. Visiting state capitols in Salem, Oregon, on March 1, and Olympia, Washington, on March 2, L.E.A.D. Local participants will meet with the legislators and educate them on their state’s promotional products industry.
The L.E.A.D. Local participants have 25 meetings scheduled in both Salem and Olympia. Promotional products advocates are encouraged to add their voice to the conversation and participate in PPAI’s virtual fly-in, exclusively for Oregon- and Washington-based industry members. The virtual fly-in is an opportunity to illuminate the value and scope of the promotional products industry, share insights about the states’ promotional products businesses with those who are most active in the Northwest and strengthen the conversations industry representatives are having with legislators in Salem and Olympia. PPAI will send an email on March 1 to members in Oregon and March 2 to members in Washington with instructions for participating in the virtual fly-in.
L.E.A.D. Local is part of PPAI’s state-level legislative outreach efforts and delivers the promotional products industry’s message to state legislators. It is conducted alongside PPAI’s federal-level outreach and engagement with legislators, government agencies and regulatory groups, and the annual L.E.A.D. in Washington, D.C. To stay connected with L.E.A.D. Local and PPAI’s legislative efforts, visit the Association’s legislative website at www.ppailaw.org or follow @PPAILAW on Twitter.
