PPAI’s accomplishments and successes are spotlighted in its just-released 2016 Annual Report, which describes the Association’s organizational strategy and provides performance updates on its goals and initiatives for the year ending December 31, 2016.
The Association’s core mission is to grow and protect the promotional products industry and enhance the professionalism and success of its members. A new strategic plan that was developed in 2016 added relationship-based engagement with individuals and user groups to its transaction-based relationships with member companies, while continuing to focus on the growth and protection of the industry. This evolution of PPAI’s strategic plan ensures deeper relationships with the Association’s members while remaining a trusted leader delivering essential knowledge, resources and community.
Highlights of the 2016 report include a 22-percent increase in membership to 14,338 member companies while maintaining a 90-percent retention rate; the launch of a new SAGE agreement that grew distributor membership by more than 3,000; the welcome of more than 19,400 total participants, including nearly 11,600 distributors, to The PPAI Expo 2016; the introduction of the PPAI Associate program; the production of PPAI webinars, on-demand courses and live education events that earned industry practitioners 22,539 professional development credits; management of the Product Safety Aware status earned by all companies seeking to do business through PPAI channels; and the growth and expansion of PPAI live events, volunteer engagement and industry awareness initiatives.
