This month, PPAI recognizes PPAI Leadership Advisory Committee members Mary Dobsch, president of supplier The Chest; Lori Bauer, vice president, national accounts, at supplier BIC Graphic USA; Rod Brown, CAS, CFO at distributor MadeToOrder; and Jessica Hiner, vice president of key accounts at supplier The Magnet Group, as the September PPB Volunteers of the Month. The Association’s PPB Volunteers of the Month have dedicated their time to the progress and fulfilling the charge of a committee, advisory group, work group or task force on which they serve.
Dobsch, Bauer, Brown and Hiner were nominated by Nikki Stella, executive vice president, corporate strategy and development, at supplier Blue Generation, and chair of the PPAI Leadership Advisory Committee. Stella says, “The Leadership Advisory Committee worked with great tenacity this year to successfully recruit and vet qualified individuals for consideration as a board candidate. Serving for a second year as leader of the board nomination process, Mary Dobsch successfully led the committee to develop a dynamic slate of candidates for consideration. In addition, this year’s process included continual engagement with the Elected Directors Nominating Committee.”
Stella adds, “Lori Bauer, Rod Brown and Jessica Hiner also served in a leadership capacity. They each led a team of committee members through a rigorous process of interviewing qualified candidates. The interview process ultimately provided the Elected Directors Nominating Committee with a slate of candidates that have proven success within their own organizations and brought the needed skill set for the PPAI Board of Directors.”
The Leadership Advisory Committee is responsible for seeking, vetting, and developing qualified industry professionals to serve and perform in a leadership role on the PPAI Board. The Leadership Advisory Committee submits recommended board candidates to the Elected Directors Nominating Committee. Through the board nomination process and interviews conducted, the LAC annually submits a slate of four-six distributor and four-six supplier member representatives as recommended board candidates to the Elected Directors Nominating Committee.
