On March 7, a three-day “listening tour” concluded at the Specialty Advertising Association of California’s (SAAC) 2019 board installation dinner. The tour was a collaborative effort between SAAC Board leaders and PPAI executive and regional relations staff to meet with SAAC legacy members, stakeholders and supporters.
The goal of the tour was to connect with as many members as possible and listen to how SAAC can support industry professionals and businesses in the region. The tour also shared the news of the management partnership between SAAC and PPAI and helped newly appointed SAAC Executive Director Jennifer Bingham get acquainted with the community. The tour was also an opportunity to learn more about the history of the SAAC community, and discuss how the landscape of the industry has evolved and how the association can support and grow with this evolution.
During the three days, the team—SAAC 2019 Board President Rhett Todd; SAAC Immediate Past President Angela Taylor; PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE; PPAI Vice President of Business Development Alan Peterson; PPAI Regional Relations Manager Dana Geiger; and Bingham—met with members of the SAAC Foundation Board, longtime supporters, past presidents, and current and potential members in Los Angeles and Orange County. The final evening of the tour connected the group with additional SAAC members who came to support the installation of the 2019 board of directors.
Geiger says, “PPAI is excited to be part of this next chapter for SAAC. The three-day tour was just the beginning of many meetings to come where SAAC leaders and Executive Director Jennifer Bingham will be looking to connect with more members.”
SAAC members interested in sharing feedback and meeting with the SAAC leadership team are invited to reach out to Bingham at JenniferB@ppai.org.
