In December, PPAI added a new member to its management team: Brigitte Rousseau, CPA, MBA, director of finance.
Rousseau joined the Association with more than 30 years of experience in finance, accounting and human resources. Prior to PPAI, she was chief financial officer at SFF, a microfinance company based in Haiti and previously worked at PFO Global, Inc./Pro Fit Optix, Inc. in Dallas, Texas, serving in various roles including chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and human resources. She has also held accounting manager and controller positions with private U.S. companies and has worked for accounting firms in both the U.S. and Haiti.
PPB recently spoke with Rousseau to learn more about the Association’s newest staff member.
PPB What attracted you to your new position at PPAI?
Brigitte Rousseau The opportunity to be hands-on and to learn about a new industry.
PPB What are your initial objectives for the position?
Rousseau To learn as much as possible from AJ [Hunter, PPAI’s outgoing finance director] and to understand the different departments so I can better serve them.
PPB Outside of PPAI, what are your interests?
Rousseau I play volleyball and I love to travel.
