Changes within PPAI leadership sees some familiar faces take on new roles at the Association. Alan Peterson, who joined the Association in 2016 as its vice president of business development, will now serve as senior vice president. Ellen Tucker, who has been with PPAI since 2014, most recently as its director of business development and expositions, has been promoted to the new role of vice president of revenue and expositions.
Peterson and Tucker are both taking on new responsibilities and oversight at the Association, both drawing on extensive backgrounds in business development, exhibitions and association management.
For Peterson, his responsibilities grow to include a larger share of the organization’s initiatives to help achieve member and association success.
“My responsibilities will change significantly,” says Peterson, who has been with PPAI for six years. “I will be responsible for a number of new departments and will evaluate how we add key talent and find creative ways to reset expectations. My immediate goals are to dig deep on what are our key offerings, benefits and access to market that will provide our members with a trusted association focused on growing the market, industry and their businesses.”
In the move to a more comprehensive leadership role at PPAI, Tucker will play a key role in leading the Association forward and engaging with members to achieve strategic goals, and fulfill the organization’s mission and vision.
“In this new role, I will be working across all departments to ensure the Association’s revenue goals are met and that we are optimizing opportunities to generate revenue that will fund the Association’s efforts for the industry,” Tucker says. “From a direct responsibility perspective, this will include taking on supplier membership as we move that to our Business Development department, as well as taking an active role in PPAI’s overall membership strategy.”
