SPARK From Home is a virtual conference for young professionals in the promotional products industry. Attendees at previous SPARK events have been19-35 years old with industry experience ranging from one week to 10 years. Conversations will center around being agile to react and adapt to changing business climates and taps into this audience’s ability to thrive from the comforts of home. SPARK From Home combines actionable takeaways and networking opportunities to help further careers while engaging industry peers.

Innovation Boot Camp With Julia Maddox

In this fast-paced workshop, participants will rapidly expand their ability to identify problems and generate creative, human-centered solutions. Participants will be split into breakout sessions throughout this session after general content is presented in an ebb-and-flow style format. This session will involve video content, brainstorming and whiteboard usage. *Participants must watch the 60-minute webinar on Innovation: Design Thinking Can Help! prior to attending this session.

SPARK And IGNITE Discussion

In this session participants with less than 3 years of experience will be partnered with participants with 4-14 years of experience to discuss company culture and innovation. Connect with peers, ask questions, and get to know each other.

2:00 PM - 3:15 PM

Selling Your Idea And Getting Others On Board With Julia Maddox

Participants will learn how to get stakeholder buy-in and talk through proto-typing their solutions. Participants will work in small groups to pitch their idea and get others on board.

3:15 PM - 4 PM

Future Opportunities

Discussions will center around the current global climate and how to shape the industry of tomorrow. Participants will be grouped into seven breakout rooms for small-group discussions with the SPARK workgroup members, discussions will center on the industry PESTLE Analysis and where there is future opportunity for change.

4:15 PM - 5 PM

SPARK Social And Happy Hour

Snag your beverage of choice, network and wind-down the day.

All sessions will be divided up into 20 minute segments of content between brainstorming activities and small group discussion sessions.

How much does the conference cost?

The SPARK From Home Conference 2020 is free to young promo professionals who work for PPAI member companies and $30 for young professionals who work for PPAI associate companies.

What are the best technology practices for participants?
Please note participants will be on video and speaking with each other during brainstorming and networking sessions, therefore, it’s recommended that participants have a webcam and a headset/mic that connects to your computer for the best audio.

What happens after I register?
Registered participants will get the unique login information one hour before the start of the virtual conference on Thursday, July 16 from webinars@ppai.org.

That seems like a long day, will there be breaks?
Absolutely! There will be breaks throughout the day. We do recommend participants turn on their out-of-office messages to set expectations for clients and colleagues, just like at an in-person conference.

3. Open your favorite painting software and use the fill function or paintbrush to color your design.
