Mary Jo Tomasini, MAS
Chair of the Board


Mary Jo founded Competitive Edge in 1993 working alone in a store basement. Now, over 20 years later, she has 25 employees working in an office building overlooking Lake Michigan. Mary Jo’s success is driven by her belief in going above and beyond customer expectations to deliver incredible levels of service.

Prior to being elected to the PPAI Board of Directors in 2014, Mary Jo served on the PPAI Public Relations committee, the Certification Committee, the Government Relations Action Council (GRAC) and is a Michigan delegate for PPAI's Legislative Education Action Day (LEAD).

In addition to being a successful business person, Mary Jo still finds time for volunteer work. She currently serves as Chair of the Lake Michigan College Board of Trustees. Her desire and dedication to give back to the community is evident as she offers her services and expertise to a long list of organizations that include United Way, Junior Achievement and Hospice.

Mary Jo lives in St. Joseph, Michigan with her husband and number one fan, Fred.

Dale Denham, MAS+
Incoming Chair
of the Board

Dale Denham, MAS+, is the CIO for Top 40 distributor Geiger and previously served as Senior Vice President of ASI. Recognized as the industry’s top technology leader, Denham has continued to drive business improvements through effective technology during his 20 years in the industry.

He is Chair of PPAI's Government Relations Action Group and previously served as chair of the Technology Committee.  During his year as chair of the Technology Committee, the committee formulated and launched the PPAI Technology Summit which hosts over 100 industry technology and business leaders.

In 2015, Dale was named to Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders and was among the first 10 people certified as a MAS+ by PPAI. Dale is married to his high school sweetheart Kim.  They have four young children and reside in Tampa Florida.

Tom Goos, MAS
Immediate Past Chair of the Board

Tom Goos, MAS is the President of Image Source, a leading promotional product agency. A 19 year industry veteran, Tom's key responsibilities are providing strategic direction, overseeing daily operations and financials as well as major client relations and supplier partnerships.

Tom is an Executive-in-Residence at the University of Washington Bothell School of Business where he is a guest speaker, mentor and advisor to undergraduate and MBA students. Tom was recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal's award program, 40 Under Forty, as one of the top 40 dynamic leaders and entrepreneurs. He is a former two-term president of the Northwest Promotional Marketing Association (NWPMA).

Tom has a B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Washington. He is a passionate endurance athlete who competes in triathlon, duathlon as well as cycling and running events. His top accomplishment to date was competing for Team USA in a duathlon World Championship in Gijon, Spain. Tom's passion for real estate investing and cars is only rivaled by his tenacity for any competitive game or sport. In his spare time, you will find him enjoying family time with his wife and son in the sunshine of Crescent Bar Washington.
