The Promotional Products Industry’s Largest Tradeshow Opens Its Doors For The First Time To Hosted-Buyers During The PPAI Expo, In Las Vegas, January 2-6, 2012

IRVING, Tex., (April 27, 2011) – Promotional Products Association International (PPAI; ppai.org), the not-for-profit association for more than 8,500 members of the $16 billion promotional products industry, today announced its new hosted-buyer engagement strategy to launch at The PPAI Expo beginning in 2012. Every year, The PPAI Expo strategically evolves to meet the needs of the PPAI members and the industry at large, and this year is no different. The new hosted-buyer initiative is a natural next step in achieving the association’s strategic goal to reach and teach buyers about the value and benefits of promotional products and their intrinsic return on investment within the marketing communications channel. Hosted-buyers will join with distributors at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in, Las Vegas, for one-on-one appointments, networking activities and new and branded product browsing.

The hosted-buyer initiative capitalizes on a trend currently active in sixteen of the twenty-eight regional associations. It creates a forum for distributors and suppliers alike, to maximize, for one day (Friday) only, the hosted-buyer interface, while thoughtfully preserving the balance of the week for the traditional course of business.

The invitation-only, hosted-buyer initiative is designed for distributors who wish to create a one-on-one enhanced sales experience geared towards identifying and satisfying the needs of key buyers. The program serves the unique needs of suppliers as well, by providing a setting in which to create brand awareness, present case studies and discuss the benefits of promotional products directly with buyers and their distributors.
