PPAI Certification At A Glance Overview
Rise Above The Rest By Earning Your Industry Designation
PPAI offers a professional certification program for all stages of your career: Trained Advertising Specialist (TAS) certificate, Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) certification, Master Advertising Specialist (MAS) certification and Master Advertising Specialist Plus (MAS+) certification.
The Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) certification has been the industry standard for 50+ years—it’s the professional designation of the promotional products industry. The Master Advertising Specialist (MAS) is an advanced-level designation we offer to professionals who have completed the CAS and want to go further. In 2012, PPAI introduced the entry-level TAS certificate program (not a certification) and an advanced Master Advertising Specialist Plus (MAS+) certification.
The PPAI Certification Program is an all-inclusive industry-wide program and does not require membership with PPAI. Associated certification costs for both members and non-members are the lowest in the industry.
Individuals who hold their CAS, MAS and MAS+ Certifications are seen as industry leaders—those who have attained a higher standard of professionalism, knowledge and experience. Certification is acquired through a combination of active employment in the industry, education, industry contributions and the successful demonstration of knowledge through rigorous course and testing requirements. Certification is maintained through continuing education to ensure current knowledge and leading-edge professional skills.

Certification gives recognition of competency, shows commitment to the profession, and helps with job advancement. There has been an explosive growth in professional certification over the past decade.
