>   In 2006, purchased Cool Wheel Covers LLC, followed a year later (2007) by Nautical Needles LLC.  Created new specialty divisions of SAS Embroidery, SAS Activewear and Welcome Mats USA.  The additions of these divisions and embroidery machines as well as direct-to-garment printing equipment which accompanied them allowed us to create a one-stop-shop for all things creatively decorated.

>   In 2010, built, from the ground up, an interactive, easy-to-use website through which anyone could design and order their own custom printed promotional covers. 

>   Client list includes multi-national corporations (such as Pepsi and America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, PBS and Ketucky Fried Chicken) and foreign governments. We have schools, manufacturers, professional sports teams (we were the first to supply the two-time Superbowl champion Baltimore Ravens with all things promotional when they moved to Baltimore from Cleveland in 1996), construction companies, software engineering corporations, health systems, radio/TV/film production companies and many other industries represented in our history of successful program building.


Director of Sales and Business Development, Lucas Brothers, Inc. -- 1984 – 1986

Responsible for overall operation of entire advertising division of well established office products company.  Retrained and regrouped the existing sales force while adding new sales people.  Incrased sales volume by 124% while increasing net profits by 30% in just two years.  Lucas Bros. was sold to Corporate Express in 1988 and new management brought in staff from HQ ending my tenure. 

>   Controlled costs while improving the quality of service through encouraging improved employee performance, setting stringent goals, and developing specific programs and policies to attain those goals. Developed and executed company relations and promotional campaigns. Developed policies and procedures that ensured consistency of quality and customer service. Multi-Unit Full Service Restaurant Manager, Armand’s Chicago Pizzeria (Maryland and Washington, D.C.) -- 1980 – 1984

Responsible for multi-unit operations of full-service, casual dining establishments. 

>    Complete front and back of house responsibilities in the areas of scheduling, training, marketing, vendor selection (for food and services), hiring, ordering, opening & closing, menu selection, government relations (i.e. health department inspections and liquor board) and entertainment.  Saw a dramatic increase in patron visits and retention due to my increased marketing efforts and the creation of the “make your own pizza” bar.  Increases in college-aged patrons and families as a direct result of the addition of live entertainment at the various units.
